A two-day film making workshop was inaugurated by the School of Liberal Education, Galgotias University. Internationally acclaimed filmmaker Ms. Vinky Singh, Director of DIMTP Mr. Sanjay Singh, and the university advisor Prof. Dr. Renu Luthra inaugurated the workshop by lighting the lamp. Professor Luthra honoured all the guests by presenting mentos.

Addressing the students, Ms. Vinky Singh said that film making is an art which requires good ideas, interesting script and good camera direction. Dr. Luthra encouraged the students to acquire versatility and skills. She said that apart from their courses, students should develop their talents in other fields as well for this is the need of the hour. In her address, Dr. Anuradha Parasar, Dean, School of Liberal Education, emphasised on the importance of film making and said that films are the mirror of society. You can also make your identity at the national and international level by making a good film.

In the second session, Ms. Vinky Singh trained the participants about the technical nuances related to film making. She made groups of ten students each and asked them to make a short film. Later, she expressed her opinion to the participants on their short films citing the shortcomings.

On this occasion, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was also signed with the Digital Interfaced Media and Television Production (DIMTP) Company under the chairmanship of Advocate Aradhana Galgotia, Director of Operations, Galgotias University. Mr. Dhruv Galgotia, CEO, Galgotias University, extended his best wishes for the successful conduct of the workshop. There was a lot of enthusiasm among the students who participated in the film making workshop.
